The Origin of InterpretarConecta
InterpretarConecta was born from a growing need within the Hispanic community for highly trained interpreters who can support individuals through sensitive proceedings, particularly in immigration cases.
Danay Pérez, a professional interpreter and founder of this platform, identified this need based on her own experience with immigration interviews and proceedings.
The Founder’s Background
Danay is a Cuban immigrant whose journey reflects resilience and a deep commitment to intercultural communication.
Her career took a decisive turn when she began working alongside an attorney. Over the course of more than eight years, she gained valuable experience in the legal field, which led her to discover her true calling: interpreting.
Academic Background
Certificate in Legal Interpretation: Spanish – University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV)
Associate of Arts in English (with High Honors) – College of Southern Nevada (CSN)
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in World Languages and Cultures — UNLV
